Osram launches "Better Living" promotion:
The lamp manufacturer is targeting customers with high expectations
COLOGNE - With its new "Better Living with Osram" promotion, Osram is looking to impress customers who have high expectations when it comes to interior design and comfort. By April, DIY outlets and furniture stores throughout Germany will have displays of Osram lamps designed to make houses into homes.
The promotion will be given an added boost by an attractive competition in which Osram will be giving away annual subscriptions to the German interior design magazine "Schöner Wohnen" (Better Living). "We want to target customers who are looking for more sophisticated light simply by replacing their existing light bulbs", says Bernhard Buley from the Osram Sales Promotion department.
The "Better Living" PoS promotion puts four products in the spotlight, namely the Osram Dulux EL Classic energy-saving lamp, which offers energy savings of up to 80 percent and a five-year guarantee, the high-intensity Superlux Krypton lamp, which emits ten percent more light than an ordinary light bulb, the Halolux BT halogen lamp, which replaces conventional lamps without the need for a transformer and lasts twice as long, and the Bellalux lamps, which are available in different pastel shades to produce a particularly soft light.
With its "Better Living" displays, Osram expects to add impetus to the current trend towards higher-quality light with impulse buying. The wide range of lamps guarantees a good response among high-spending target groups. "The new Osram display is aimed specifically at customers of DIY and furniture stores", says Buley. "These feel-good lamps will generate extra sales just as we move into spring."
