Claus Regitz now responsible for production:
Osram Opto Semiconductors expands its management team
REGENSBURG - Osram Opto Semiconductors GmbH is expanding its management team as of October 1, 2002 with the appointment of Claus Regitz (45). Claus Regitz is taking over responsibility for production and providing support for the directors, Dr. Rüdiger Müller (CEO) and Robert Wittgen (Finance).
"With the expansion of our chip fabrication plant in Regensburg Burgweinting and our growing production facilities in Penang, Malaysia, we are facing new challenges. We are therefore very pleased to have someone as highly qualified as Claus Regitz join our team", said Müller.
At present, Claus Regitz is head of the Halogen Lamps Division and has been managing the Osram factory in Eichstätt since 1999. Having gained a degree in physics, he started his career with Osram in 1984 as a development engineer. Since 1986, he has held a variety of management positions, including production manager and technical manager at various locations within the company.
