A great many car drivers want modern xenon light for their vehicles because they make driving safer and because their bluish white colour is so attractive.
Unfortunately, with older models this type of upgrade often has to remain on the wish list - either it is not at all possible or it is prohibitively expensive. For these car drivers Osram has developed the Cool Blue generation of headlight lamps.
Lighting engineers have developed a special coating for the lamps in order to achieve a higher colour temperature. It produces a bluish white light, similar to that from xenon lamps. Not only do the lamps look better in the headlights, they produce even more light. The remarkable result of this development work is that these lamps are up to 20 percent brighter than conventional lamps.
In addition to standard H4 and H7 versions, Cool Blue is available in H1, H3, H8, H9 and H11 versions and also in an H7 24 V version for commercial vehicles. The lamps are available for upgrading halogen headlights, dual headlights and parking lights. Truckers who want to combine stunning looks and high-performance light can also benefit. For them, this new generation of lamps is yet another step toward greater safety on the roads at night.
Cool Blue lamps also bring benefits for interior lighting. Their whiter and more brilliant light provides a high level of contrast and makes it easier for example to read maps and so on.
