Better visibility for bus drivers and truckers

Osram is the first manufacturer in the world to offer truckers and bus drivers headlight lamps that shine up to 100 percent more light on the road ahead than conventional lamps.

The new Truckstar headlight lamps from trucks and buses will therefore make a significant contribution to road safety. Thanks to new filament technology, the lamps will also last almost twice as long.

Problems with truck and bus lights are right at the top of the league table for faults. This means that professional drivers are running the risk, particularly at night, of being involved in serious accidents or being the cause of accidents. 24V Truckstar lamps significantly improve visibility on the roads at night.

This is thanks to single-coil technology. The light is no longer produced by a coiled coil but from a new coil similar to the ones in all 12V headlight lamps. The benefits of this newly developed light source are almost twice the life, good vibration resistance and up to 100 percent more light 50 to 100 metres in front of the vehicle.

Headlight manufacturers will therefore be able to offer original equipment with performance usually associated only with 12V systems.

The long life of these lamps extend replacement intervals and save costs on replacement lamps. Truckstar lamps are available now in H7, H1 and H3 versions. H4 and H11 types are in preparation.
