2006 Light Test campaign
Partnership for the 50th Light Test
In 2006, the Light Test campaign will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Since 1956, companies in the automobile guild throughout Germany have undertaken to test the lights of all vehicles free of charge, thus ensuring greater safety on the road.
In the anniversary year, OSRAM itself has reason to celebrate on account of 100 years of brand establishment. As the official lamp partner, the lamp manufacturer will also once again lend its support to the campaign. Wilhelm Hülsdonk, Federal Guild Master and Vice President of the Zentralverband des Deutschen Kraftfahrzeuggewerbes (ZDK – German Association of Motor Trades), and Peter Lindlacher, Key Account Manager Retail Germany at OSRAM, have now officially sealed the continuation of their partnership. Peter Lindlacher on the objectives of the cooperation: “Good lighting is one of the key aspects of safety in road traffic. Due to the expertise of the guild companies and the lighting competence of OSRAM, the Light Test campaign makes a significant contribution to road safety.“
The Light Test campaign
The nationwide Light Test campaign is a joint initiative of the Deutsches Kraftfahrzeuggewerbe (German Motor Trade) and the Deutsche Verkehrswacht (German Road Traffic Safety Organisation), which takes place each year in October. Traditionally, it will be launched again under the patronage of the Federal 2/2 Minister of Transport. Based on this idea, a number of similar campaign have established themselves throughout Europe.
