New light colour from Osram:
As bright as day
At 8000 K the new Skywhite fluorescent lamp from Osram provides high-quality daylight simulation at the workplace and in leisure facilities.
This fluorescent lamp has light colour 880 and therefore offers daylight white light. Its proportion of blue light in the wavelength range from 410 to 460 nm improves contrast and reduces visual fatigue. It therefore helps improve mental and physical performance. These positive characteristics are supplemented by its good colour rendering properties, corresponding to group 1B, Ra >80.
Skywhite is produced from T8 tubing. The 58 W version has a luminous flux of 4900 lumen. This daylight bright lamp is particularly suitable for reflector luminaires with appropriate glare reduction. Such luminaires make best use of the light. The lamp achieves optimum performance when operated on electronic control gear.
The 58 W version is available to retailers with immediate effect. Other versions in wattages of 18, 30 and 36 W are in preparation.
