Dimming amalgam lamps
- Shorter start-up due to Power Boost
- Optimal lamp operation even at low dimmer settings
T5 fluorescent lamps HO CONSTANT, as well as compact fluorescent lamps OSRAM DULUX L CONSTANT and OSRAM DULUX T/E CONSTANT, show, thanks to amalgam technology, constant high luminous flux over a wide temperature range.
More efficient and energy-saving lighting for T5 and compact fluorescent lamps.

Start-up of a CONSTANT lamp
With T5 HO CONSTANT amalgam lamps (24 W, 39 W, 49 W, 54 W, 80 W), the mercury vapor pressure and hence the luminous flux is determined by the composition and the temperature of the amalgam. The following happens during a start-up:
Up to 10 seconds
Up to 3 minutes (HO 49 W CONSTANT: up to 5 minutes)
Due to the technical superiority of amalgam lamps that allows them to efficiently operate at a wider range of ambient temperature
(>90 % of the luminous flux in the temperature range of +5 °C to 70 °C / +20 °C to 80 °C for the T5 HO 49 W CONSTANT),
the start-up time to reach a stable state is extended.
It is always important to consider conditions such as drafts, ambient temperature, emergency requirements, dim settings, etc.
