Lamps with high output (HO) are designed for maximum luminous flux per lamp length with luminous efficacy reduced by about 10 % and considerably improved luminance. They are 50 % brighter than conventional 26 mm lamps and are used in particular for indirect and direct lighting in high-ceiling rooms.
Fluorescent lamps with a diameter of 16 mm are operated exclusively with ECGs. They are being used more and more as alternatives to 26 mm lamps, not least because their luminous efficacy is higher and they last longer. ECGs also improve the comfort aspects of lighting. The lamps start quickly, silently and without flickering, the light is constant and calm with no electrode flickering, and faulty lamps are automatically shut down. Like all LUMILUX lamps they are ideal in combination with motion sensors and daylight dimmers.
